I was looking at Yoji Shinkawa art-displays today. He’s the one who did the box cover for Metal Gear Solid 2 and built a huge legacy to where he’s very well known and appreciated by gamers and artists alike. It’s powerful art, built on strong black and white contrasts, with big, confident, brushstrokes. Even ink spattering is involved with finishing touches. It’s awesome. It left a strong impression. I first watched his drawing in timelapse, and I enjoyed it so much I went and watched it in real-time.
Here’s the timelapse.
