I took my first dive into filmmaking today. I’m discovering it is a curious fool’s work. Much like writing and composing.
Took out my camera, after I noticed tiny specks gathered around a bigger one on the terrace, and I wasn’t sure what was going on. The Canon g7x was the closest thing I had to a magnifying glass.
The film is composed of two takes. No edits. No transitions. Just title and credit. I wished to have Tchaikovsky playing in the background, so I dug through archive.org, and found and old recording from the Boston Symphony Orchestra, downloaded it, and dropped it into the video editor. Removed the original sound of the video clips, removed color saturation, with zero edits in the sound. It happened to start and end with the video footage I captured this morning. Rather eerily, mind you.
And that is because it is darshan.
