Left’s Hand — A Moviebook.
A novel predicting the death of Queen Elizabeth II three weeks before her passing.
Over the course of twelve days, amongst a trip spanning coast-to-coast, Left’s Hand was completed.
On September 5th, the day after I finished the novel, I recorded the audiobook in a 6.5 hour session, reading aloud with pleasure into my iPhone in room #125 where I was staying in Tahoe Vista, California.
By the end of my week-long taking in the sights and unique rhythm of Lake Tahoe, I realized this novel would make a beautiful Moviebook, to put both the typewritten and left hand cursive pages in a produced, video format, with Easter eggs for those willing to not only listen, but to take it in for all that offers visually.
Below is the end result. And may all your wishes be fulfilled.
Now before you go and dive in — I must express sincere thanks and gratitude:
To Tony Parlapiano for being the only true brother I have in this life. For encouraging me to follow my dreams. For reminding me where my heart has been for years—which is at Tahoe. And for co-creating goodness with me.
To Darren at Pep’s for your kindness, generosity, and for all the tips so I could better navigate Tahoe, which is 160 square miles of lake. Your breakfast sandwiches were delicious, and kept me going until the completion of this work.
To my children, to whom all my books are dedicated.
And to all the families who have loved ones who are estranged, may you be brought together in swift order by the Grace of God.
With Love,
William
