I decided to try a little experiment today. The idea came to me late last night after I wrapped the podcast and posted it, I decided to relax with some ASMR, which I used to listen to a lot, some months back, but have since gravitated toward listening to spiritualists from the early 20th century, like Florence Scovel Shinn, Neville Goddard and James Allen. They talk a lot about the Law of Attraction. The focus is primarily on how our thoughts create our reality.
Anyway, as I was watching this video in particular, I was barely looking at the screen, and there was an interesting distortion happening, as I was exhausted, and in and out of dream state, I swear I saw this woman’s face change, and the experience can only be compared to the ones I had through mirror gazing, if you’ve done it before — you stare into a mirror for prolonged periods of time with little to no blinking, if you can stand it. And it reveals a lot of things. Most of your fears and insecurities are shown first, and then people see ancestors, and most folks cry quiet tears—the ones that stream down the face because it’s good. This is healing. Keeps a human being determined to attain a place where there is a constant feeling of joy. And that is the opposite of competition. I know it. It’s cooperation. It’s creation. That is what this is…all of this. And it’s a divine dance. Enjoy it. Every day. As much as you can. This is my cheesy way of loving life. I can live in a science fiction world, whenever I want.
No podcast today. Enjoy your Saturday. Yacht Man continues.
