Fallen aisles

Peter, His disciple

Wore three denials.

Coins for flesh, sold on a whim

Bought nothing more than a cup of wind.

Judas’s hands, couldn’t win

Such meager coins, in exchange for Him.

A poison kiss, for the One within.

Free Barrabas! — to appease the mob.

A murdering rapist, for the Son of God.

Now Jesus Christ, renders His life

For the forgiveness of sin.
